CICA Futuro Award

Collaborative Institute of Cultural Arts (CICA) understands the importance of extracurricular activities and the positive impact they have on the academic and personal success of its students.
The CICA Futuro Scholarship is an activity-based scholarship that was established to support the academic goals of talented and committed CICA members who demonstrate a passion for art and are in good academic standing.
The CICA Futuro Scholarship is a one time scholarship, meaning that it will NOT be divided into a fall and a spring disbursement or held for future semesters. The award must be used during the Spring semester of the school year the scholarship is awarded. The Futuro scholarship will expire when the school year is over.
This award (up to $2,000) must be applied towards tuition. The award will be paid directly to the school and the award recipient must commit to facilitate the payment process between CICA and the school.
Recipients of the CICA Futuro award are eligible to re-apply every two years as long as they meet the requirements below.
CICA will require recipients to submit a copy of their Spring semester the award will be granted.

Eligibility:
Must have a cumulative GPA of 2.8 or higher.
Must be enrolled in a college/university at the time of application.
Must be a CICA member for at least two consecutive years with strong attendance and meeting ticket sale requirements previous to submitting application.
Must have participated in all CICA shows and performances for the past two years.

Recipients of the CICA Futuro Award will be expected to:
Continue to commit to CICA during the year the award is distributed.
Maintain a course-load of at least 9 credits-hours during the semester the award is distributed.
Participate in all CICA performances and showcases during the year the award is distributed.

Current school transcripts (unofficial transcripts are acceptable).
Completed Scholarship application.
200 word essay.
